JewelSmiths is a third-generation, family-owned business located in California's San Ramon Valley. Specializing in custom design and restoration, we have built a loyal customer base from all over the country.

I was fortunate to grow up in the jewelry business and learn from my mother and step-father, Greg Stopka. Greg is a second-generation jeweler and the founder of JewelSmiths. My father was introduced to the jewelry business by his parents, Lou and Ann Stopka. They entered into the trade by purchasing Owen's Jewelry, an existing jewelry store located in California's San Joaquin Valley, from Werl and Florence Owen. Lou was an experienced salesman, and with the help of his wife and children, they began to learn the ropes and made the business a success. After the passing of his father, Greg struck out on his own and opened JewelSmiths, a different kind of jewelry store that focused on jewelry design and service. As the years passed, he gained skill and experience and won several design awards and has been featured in numerous trade journals.

In 2023, the torch was passed to me, and I am committed to upholding the high standards of service and integrity that our patrons have come to expect. It is a pleasure to serve clients whose grandparents were served by my own parents, and to have such long-lasting relationships with our patrons.

At JewelSmiths, we offer a unique and relaxed atmosphere with friendly and unpretentious staff. We do not have salespeople on staff at our studio, so you can be sure you will receive honest and personal service every time you visit us.
